Charles (Charlie) Stewart:
Charlie Stewart began boxing in 1969 and two years later won a silver medal as a heavyweight in the national amateur tournament.
In 1972 he won the Ontario light-heavyweight title at Windsor Arena before earning the national title that same year.
Charlie turned pro in 1973 and two years later fought in front of a sold-out crowd at Windsor Arena on the same card as world champion George Foreman.
He won 14 out of 15 professional bouts before retiring and assuming leadership of the Windsor Amateur Boxing Club, where he coached several Olympians and national champions.
